It is my pleasure to be the instructor for the Sunbridge Institute of English TESOL certificate course. The course is designed to provide training in teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language for people who are interested in teaching overseas.

Many people feel that, because they speak English,  they can teach the language to others.  There is a great deal more to teaching than that.  First, you have to revisit your grammar rules so that you can explain them to your students.  You have to learn about lesson planning, student motivation, measuring the  effectiveness of your teaching, and getting along in a foreign culture and environment.  The course covers all those aspects of teaching overseas.

Teaching ESL / EFL is a very rewarding career and  this course will help you to be well prepared when you undertake that challenge.  You will have more confidence in yourself and be better able to handle classes if you have a good background in ESL methodologies and a book of classroom activities and ideas upon which to draw.  I hope you will take our course and join the growing list of successful Sunbridge graduates who are teaching around the world.
